In this correctional school, 18 year old boys face quite a dreaded punishment for bad behavior (or accusations thereof): being made to stand uniform-less in the corridor, on full view for their instructors, staff, peers and even visitors (who could be from either sex)! It caused quite the thrill on those special occasions when it occurred.
The prefect relished his petty authority. “The rector agreed with my recommendation. I am to walk you to the main hall. Any trouble and he’ll be giving you a belting.”
